There are 2 different types of softshell.
1) Membrane softshell - Main advantage of this material is high windproofness and is mostly being used as a protection against adverse climatic conditions as a termoregulation layer.
2) Non-membrane softshell - The popularity of this material still grows, main advantage of it is enormous permeability, so it is perfectly suitable for more challenging activities.
